This object is a detail of the famous necklace “Bees” of Malia.
The gold necklace was found in the necropolis of the Minoan Palace of Malia in Crete. It dates to the Middle Bronze Age, around 1800 BC and is one of the most characteristic archaeological item of the Minoan goldsmithing.
The Bees of Malia is one of the most famous exhibits in the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, in Crete.
