Sotiris Sorogas was born in Athens in 1936. He studied with a state scholarship at the Athens School of Fine Arts. In 1972 he received an annual personal grant from the Ford Foundation. He has presented a large number of solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad; events have been organized by the Ministry of Culture, the National Gallery, the Pierides Gallery and private art galleries (Tokyo, Brussels, Dublin, Sao Paolo, New York, Paris, Rome, Basel). He has taught at the Architecture School of the NTUA Polytechnic from 1964 to 2003 ,where he is now a professor. His works are at the National Gallery of Athens, the Pierides, Vorres and Moschandreos Art Galleries, the Teloglio Museum of the University of Thessaloniki and the Goulandris Museum in Andros.
